You Made It Happen!
Our union election will be held.
We have filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) for a secret ballot election.
We reached this significant milestone because of your effort and care for your fellow workers. You had the courage to stand up and stand together. By signing an a-card, you said, “Enough is enough: we deserve Union representation.”
A dedicated group of Carmen workers on the CWC OrganizingTeam has worked hard for months to get us to this point. Now is the time for everyone to get involved!
What happens next?
We will be working with the National Labor Relations Board to hammer out the election date and voting details. We petitioned the NLRB for a wall-to-wall union that includes all non-managerial staff. Your election should be conducted to its conclusion by the NLRB (Federal Government) within 45 to 60 days from now.
Get ready. Carmen will try to convince you to give them another chance. A union contract shifts the balance of power in your favor, plain and simple. That’s the real reason they will do everything in their power to keep you from having IAM Representation.
